Heat treatment kills pests in wood packaging. ISPM 15 requires a minimum of 56 °C for at least 30 continuous minutes throughout the entire profile of the wood, including its core, measured with sensors or a validated schedule.
Kiln-dried lumber is not automatically heat treated to ISPM 15. Only marked material counts.
