Most white-wood pallets shipped to customers are one-way. The shipper's cost per trip is simply the delivered price plus any handling or disposal, minus any buyback credit.
One-way pallets are the baseline for any cost comparison: a pooled or closed-loop program has to beat the one-way cost per trip on your lanes.
